One Card Wonder Wednesday January 15, 2020 - Lovely Lily Pad Card

Hello!

Its that time again, time for a One Card Wonder Wednesday post!  One of favorite days of the week.  I love being able to share my ideas and creative projects with you.  I am hoping you are enjoying it too.  This week I have chosen to use the Lovely Lily Pad stamp set, Lily Pad Dies, and the Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper.  Did you know that all three of these items are items you can earn for FREE with qualifying purchases through Stampin' UP!® during Sale-A-Bration.  Make sure you head over to my store if you want to earn these items and make this card!

I decided to try something a little different with this card.  I have used the Lily Pad Dies before but when I added the die cuts to my other projects I glued them down flat.  As you can see I changed it up  a bit and just glued the bottom of them down.  Then I lightly curled the tops of the Lily die cuts away from the stamped Lily.

I love trying new things and having them work the way I envisioned them.  The piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock is folded in a semi-accordian style and all I did was glue it together at the folds.  Then it is glued down to the card.  I love the extra texture it adds to the card.  I have a feeling I will be adding this type of element to other cards.

I appreciate you being a part of my Stampin' Journey!

I live & love to inspire you!

THANK YOU!

Update Tuesday - January 14, 2020 - Thoughtful Blooms -

Hello!

Thanks for joining me this week for UpdateTuesday!  I hope you have all had a fantastic Tuesday.  Good here, just super busy so I am even late typing this blog post.  Well, late compared to when I usually get it done.

The image that Stampin' UP! shared with us this morning for inspiration has three adorable cards in it.  Of course I chose to just make one of those.  I tried to do the entire photo the first time I did my Update Tuesday post, several months ago.  I learned my lesson.  Way too many projects to blog in one day!  LOL!

Here is the photo they shared:
Image © Stampin' UP!®

Are these cards cute or what?!  I think they are all pretty adorable.  But I chose to make the one on the left.  I love the way the colors just look so pretty together.  But, of course I only have three of this four colors in my Designer Series Paper stash.  I don't have the top color, Terracotta Tile.  So instead I used Melon Mambo.  I hope you agree, it turns out super cute too!

I decided that this card also could use a little bit of upgrading...and when I say little, I mean small.  so I used the Small Bloom punch to pop up the large center flower.

Something as simple as adding one small punched image to a card can make it look like a new card.

Here are both of the cards together:

These cards have the same layout, just one element is  punched out and popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals. Which version do you like best?

I appreciate you being a part of my Stampin' Journey!

Kylie's Monthly Training Blog Hop - Honey Bee Birthday Card - January 2020

 Hello!

Welcome to January's Blog Hop with Kylie Bertucci's Demonstrator Training Program.  This is my fourth month participating in this blog hop.  I highly recommend her training program.  It is very laid back, work at your own pace...which we all know is a plus in this busy world!

I had such great time creating this month's Card!  I have a friend who is celebrating her 50th birthday today!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU MY FRIEND!  I will not give away her name, but she knows who she is.  LOL!  And by now she has already received her card from me so I can show you all a photo of it!

So?  A new fave? I think the Honey Bee  stamp set is quickly becoming a favorite of mine!  And to be honest, I have used it a lot lately.  I am not sure how I thought of this but it just came to me on Saturday as I was working on a project for a separate tutorial.    Sometimes I amaze myself...hahaha! I think I even mentioned in my video that I didn't even us Pinterest® to get inspiration for this card!

Here is another close up of the card.  I was happily surprised that the smallest Gold Glitter Enamel Dots fit perfectly on the end of the antennas.  They make a beautiful little touch of sparkle that shines with the Gold Foil honeycombs and embossed bees.

My sponging skills have improved greatly in the past few months.  As they say, practice make perfect.  Or pretty close anyway!  It used to frustrate me to try to sponge ink onto paper.  If I'm using a sponge dauber, it is still a daunting task.  But when I use the Stampin' Sponges I feel like a pro.  I cut one sponge into 6 pieces of pie, so-to-speak.  Then I punch out a card stock circle or other shape that I can fold in half and staple to the sponge.  Then label the name of the ink color on that circle.

What tried and true methods do you have for storing crafting items?
Here's what my sponging stash looks like!   This has been a helpful hint from Valerie!  LOL!

Don't forget to watch the video, buy your supplies from me, and make this card for yourself!

I appreciate you being a part of my Stampin' Journey!

I live & love to inspire you!

THANK YOU!
