Update Tuesday August 6, 2019: Dinoroar Suite Projects

It's hard for me to believe, but this is my third Update Tuesday blog.  I am thoroughly enjoying re-creating the items that Stamping' UP! is sharing with its demonstrators in their weekly email.   For me, sharing these re-creations with you is a great way for me to practice my writing and paper-crafting skills.  It's a double whammy!  OR maybe a triple whammy...you get a tutorial.

What do you think of this week's project?  Fantastic right?

These cute dinos from the Dinoroar Suite are so much fun to make projects with.  This banner would be perfect for hanging at a birthday party or even in your child's room.   If you sell cards and paper crafting products it would make a great display item to show the versatility of your products.  And this card...oh my, how adorable with the sentiment "thanks for being a FRIEND-A-SAURUS".  You could give this to anyone.  I would give this to my own friends, this suite is not just for kids!

For the projects, these are the Stamping' UP! colors that coordinate with the Dinoroar Suite:
Flirty Flamingo, Lovely Lipstick, Mango Melody, Old Olive, Pineapple Punch, Pool Party, Pretty Peacock, Whisper White
You choose which colors you want to use for your stamping and card stock coordination.

For the Banner

  1. Cut several different Dinosaurs from the Dinoroar Designer Series Paper using the Dino Dies.  (Save one to use for your card)
  2. Stamp the spikes needed for the backs of the dinosaurs using the Dino Days stamp set using coordinating ink colors.  Then cut them out using the Dino Dies.  Adhere them to the back of your dinosaurs using Tombow Multipurpose Glue.
  3. Cut Banners 3in. x 4in. using the Dinoroar Designer Series Paper, and your choice of coordinating colored card stock.  Cut as many or as few as you want to create the length of banner you need.
  4. Trim the ends of the 4in. x 6in. banner pieces to create the banner tails.  I like to cut one of the card stock pieces and then use it as my template to cut the other ones.  You can even cut a     4in. x 6in. piece of Whisper White card stock to use and save as a template.
  5. Adhere your dinosaurs to the banner pieces that you choose.
  6. Punch holes on the top right and left edges of the banner pieces to thread Whisper White Baker's Twine through for hanging.
  7. You're done!  Hang your banner!
For the Card
  1. Cut a piece of Flirty Flamingo Card Stock 8 1/2in. x 5 1/2in. and score at 4 1/4in.  Fold on the score line.
  2. Cut a piece of Dinoroar Designer Series Paper 1 1/4in. x 5 1/2in. and adhere to the front left side of the card.
  3. Cut a piece of Lovely Lipstick Card Stock 3 1/4in. x 4 1/4in.
  4. Cut a piece of Whisper White Card Stock 3in. x 4in.
  5. Stamp sentiment on the Whisper White Card Stock using Pretty Peacock ink.  Make sure you leave room for the dinosaur that you cut for this card.
  6. Tie a piece of the Denim Ribbon around the Whisper White Card Stock near the bottom, tie it in a knot and trim the edges at an angle.
  7. Adhere the Whisper White Card Stock to the Lovely Lipstick Card Stock.
  8. Add the dinosaur to the front of the
  9. Using Stampin' Dimensionals adhere the whole piece to the front of the card.   Voila!
