Kylie's Monthly Training Blog Hop - October 2019 - Merry Moose Tea Sleeves

I am so excited to be joining a group of amazing Demonstrators for this blog hop!  This is the second blog hop I have done, the first was with another group and it went well so I figured I'd try it again.  It is a great way to share my creativity and what I love, while also sharing the creativity of others!
Being inspired by the creativity around us is fantastic way to help us indulge in our own creative thoughts.

For this hop I wanted to make a project that makes me happy.  Let's be honest, if you have been to my blog before you know that paper crafting makes me happy.  But sometimes bringing "happy" to others requires a little extra...extra bling, extra fluff...extra anything.  LOL.   And that extra something is not the same for everyone so it's hard to make a decision about what to make.

So I decided to look at my past posts and figure out what my blog subscribers and viewers have enjoyed.  Two projects stood Tea Sleeves and my Merry Moose Card.  So then I thought, why not combine them.  What if I made Tea Sleeves using the Merry Moose Bundle?  So I bought some Peppermint Tea and some English Breakfast Tea from and here is what I came up with...

A cute, whimsical, mini-gift you can give to anyone to brighten their day.  These can be easily carried in your purse to give to anyone who brightens your day.  It will bring a smile to their face! You can also fit them in a regular card and mail them.  It will cost a little extra postage but if it makes the recipient smile it's worth it, don't you think?

If you like this project and the video make sure you head over to my store to get your supplies to make some for yourself. and click shop now.
I am working my way to an incentive trip.  I appreciate you being a part of my Stampin' Journey!

Measurements & Instructions
  1. Cut a piece of Brightly Gleaming Designer Series Paper 2in. x 6in. and score at 1 1/2in. and 4 1/8in.  Fold on score lines and adhere using Snail Adhesive or Tombow Multipurpose Glue.
  2. Punch a starburst with the Starburst punch from Vellum or Copper Foil Sheet. and attach to the Tea Sleeve.
  3. From the Merry Moose Stamp Set, stamp the Moose onto Soft Suede Card Stock using Early Espresso Ink.
  4. Using the Moose Punch, punch out the Moose.
  5. Cut a piece of Real Red Card Stock 1/2in. x 1 3/4in.
  6. Stamp the sentiment "merry CHRISTMOOSE" or "Have a cozy Christmas" in Memento Ink on the Real Red card stock strip.  Then snip the left end of the strip to look like a banner, and trim the corners off the other end.  Punch a small hole on the right end.
  7. Cut a piece of Whisper White Baker's Twine, Old Olive Baker's Twine, or Mossy Meady Linen Thread about 3 1/2in. long.
  8. Fold the Twine in half and thread the looped end through the punched hole of the Sentiment strip from back to front.  Only pull it through a small bit then lay it down on your work surface.  Lay the punched moose over the twine and then thread the loose ends through the looped end to create a "scarf" on the moose.
  9. Attach Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the moose and attach to the starburst punch.
  10. Embellish with a Copper Star Designer Element and a Red Rhinestone.  All you need to do now is add a pre-wrapped Tea Bag!  Voila!
