One Card Wonder Wednesday February 19, 2020 - Tags In Bloom

Hello!

I am thankful you are here today visiting my blog for One Card Wonder Wednesday.  I conducted a poll on facebook to choose today's stamp set and so today's blog features a new stamp set
that will be available March 3rd - 31st as a FREE Sale-A-Bration
item with a $100 purchase.  What is better than free?  How about free and beautiful?!  And as an added bonus, the stamp set coordinates with two punches from the January Mini Catalog: The Label me Lovely Punch and the Label Me Fancy Punch.  WooHoo!

Image © Stampin' UP!®

What do you think?  How amazing is this set? The images that are shaded in the the Very Vanilla color show options for punching out.  Also, I love that the sentiments can be punched out with the Label Me Fancy and Label Me Lovely punches as well.

I thought I would use this stamp set to make simple card using the sentiment "I miss your face"!  I love that sentiment.  I will definitely be using it for a variety of cards.  What is your favorite sentiment in this stamp set?

I used Terracotta Tile and Crushed Curry Inks for the flowers. Then I made sure to make the sentiment "pop" by stamping it in Crushed Curry.

Since this stamp set has two-step stamping, making the flowers beautiful is easy.  Make sure you view the video to see how simple two-stamp stamping is.  Have fun making this card!

I am sooo close to a personal sales goal that I have set for myself so if you need supplies I would appreciate you heading over to my online store!  😊

I appreciate you being a part of my Stampin' Journey!

I live & love to inspire you!

The photo above is the photo that was shared with us today for inspiration.  I love all of these cards!     Which one do you like best?  Which one would you make first?
I have chosen to focus on the lower left card today.

I love how it incorporates all three of the So Very Vellum Specialty Designer Series Paper colors.  And unbeknownst to me, the gorgeous floral die cut is from the Shimmer Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper.  I spent 20 minutes looking through current catalogs and online trying to find the dies, hahaha!  The sentiment "Each Day IS A NEW BEGINNING" is from the
Morning Star Stamp Set.

I appreciate you being a part of my Stampin' Journey!

One Card Wonder Wednesday - February 12, 2020 - Mountain Air Card

Hello!

Welcome to One Card Wonder Wednesday!  We are almost in the middle of February and seriously that is so hard to believe!  When I was a kid and my parents would say that "time flies by fast" I didn't believe them.  Now that I am older, I completely agree!  With age comes wisdom, right?!

Today I want to show you the Mountain Air bundle.  Have you seen it?  It is so gorgeous.  I had so much fun making this card today.  It is much easier than it looks.  And what I mean is, it looks complicated, but it is so simple to put together.

Here is a pic of the bundle from the online store:

Image © Stampin' UP!

When I look at this stamp set I see lots of potential for landscape cards...and I know it would look amazing combined with the Waterfront stamp set.  I haven't done that yet, but I will.

What do you think?  Like it? Love it?

I know I say this a lot, but I love this card!  I am always looking for cards that are neutral.  This could be given as a birthday card for a guy or gal.  Don't you think?  You could change the sentiment and make it a congrats card, or good luck on your journey card!

I appreciate you being a part of my Stampin' Journey!

I live & love to inspire you!

Kylie's Demonstrator Blog Hob February 2020

Hello!

Thanks for joining me today!  I am a participating in a wonderful blog hop through Kylie Bertucci’s Demonstrator training program.  So please make sure to visit the other blogs listed later in my post.

I have the opportunity to participate in a vendor market in March.  I wanted to make something a little different for this market but was stumped as what to make.  Then I saw a post on Facebook in a group dedicated to Stampin’ UP!® demonstrators and it had the perfect project.  It was a bouquet of tulips created with the Tulip Builder Punch and pencils made by Michele Jutrisa!  I want to thank her for her inspiration and wonderful idea.

I began by cutting strips of the card stock in 1 1/2in. strips and then scored them down the middle.  I punched them with the Tulip Builder Punch so the score line goes down the center of the tulip.  That made it easier to fold the tulips in half for gluing.

I folded 420 of these tulips...holy moly! It was totally worth it.

I had piles of tulips to glue together.I seriously thought it would never end but it did, hahaha!  Isn’t that always the way when we start a project that we know is a long one?  It feels never ending and then it’s done!
I have now made 70 of these pencils for the market in March. It took me almost two days!

Here is the final product…well, 1/3 of them anyway.

What do you think?  I absolutely love them and want to thank Michele Jutrisa again for her inspiration!

I appreciate you being a part of my Stampin' Journey!

I live & love to inspire you!

THANK YOU!

One Card Wonder Wednesday - February 5, 2020 - So Sentimental Thank You Card

Hello!

Welcome to today's One Card Wonder Wednesday!  I am so glad you are here!  I have been looking at all of the new stamp sets and dies in the January Mini Catalog to see what I wanted to focus my post on this week.  There are so many good ones but I keep getting drawn back to the So Sentimental Bundle.  Why?  I LOOOOOVE the dies.  Don't get me wrong, the sentiments in the stamp set are fabulous but the dies are so great with the stitching and the scalloped edges for the rectangles.

Image © Stampin' UP!®

Aren't these great?  I love them.  And for layering, these dies are so great!
Kudos to Stampin' UP!®

Here is the card I designed for today.  It is simple and easy to make.   The bright colors stand out and the Z-fold always makes a fun card.

I decided to use my Bermuda Bay and Pacific Point Stampin' Write Markers to color my stamp.  This is how I created the multi color stamped words on one stamp.

Have you used your Stampin' Write Markers lately?  Get them out and try this technique!  You will be glad that you did.  Make sure you use the brush end and view the video to see how to do this.

When was the last time you made a fun fold card?  I definitely don't make them enough but I am trying to make sure I am adding at least one to my card classes every month.  It really helps to keep the creative juices flowing.

I appreciate you being a part of my Stampin' Journey!

I live & love to inspire you!

THANK YOU!

Hello!

It is time for Update Tuesday!  Today’s update is a super cute one!  It features the Gang’s All Meer stamp set from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.  Have you seen that stamp set?  It is freaking adorable!  The best part is you can earn it for free with a $50 order!
Just head over to valeriesmith.stampinup.net

Just look at how adorable these little Meerkats are! I just love them!  I have used it to make some adorable birthday cards.  But for whatever reason, I didn’t think to use if for Valentines!  Now I need to make some Valentine cards using the Heart Punch Bundle, the From My Heart Designer Series Paper and the Well Written Dies like the top card in the photo.

it?!  You can use it to give a small birthday gift or hold a gift card.
