Update Tuesday May 26, 2020, Many Mates & Stampin' Spots Card

Hello!

Welcome to another Update Tuesday where I share inspiration from Stampin' UP!®  Today they share a fantastic post featuring Stampin' Spots.  What are Stampin' Spots you ask?  They are mini ink pads that Stampin' UP!® sells.  They are in every month's Paper Pumpkin Subscription box too!  Learn more about Paper Pumpkin and reserve your June box here: https://www.paperpumpkin.com/en-us/sign-up/?demoid=2188617

Here is the inspirational photo shared today:

Which card is your favorite?  I personally just love the card on the bottom.  So that is what I chose to recreate...with a change in color scheme.

The Stampin' Spots featured in the photo will be sold in the new Annual catalog beginning June 3rd as a set for $24!  It's a great deal for 8 ink colors!

I did not have all of these colors in Stampin' Spots so I chose to use four colors that I have from past Paper Pumpkins: Night of Navy, Pool Party, Melon Mambo, and Bermuda Bay.  I think they look pretty fantastic together.

What do you think of this color combination?

Look at the fabulous texture that the Stampin' Spots create and try to ignore the fact that I must have had Bermuda Bay Ink on my finger when I attached the "You totally earned it!" sentiment. LOL.  Leave it to me, hahaha!

I appreciate you being a part of my Stampin' Journey!

I live & love to inspire you!

THANK YOU!

Update Tuesday - May 19, 2020 - Beautiful World Card

Hello!

Update Tuesday is here again!  Stampin' UP!® has shared some wonderful projects today.  As always it was hard to pick just one.  I mean, look at these gorgeous projects....Which one would you pick?

Image © Stampin' UP!®

I wanted to focus on one of the new stamp sets that will be available in the upcoming catalog.  And because I love the Beautiful World stamp set.  I chose to make the project on the right...but with a twist.

I am in need of some graduation cards so instead of making the mini pizza box project I made a card using the same design.

What do you think?!!!  This card is so great for graduation.

I started with a Pretty Peacock Card Base and added a piece of the World Of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I practiced my sponging skills and made the Pretty Peacock Ombre
on a piece of Whisper White Card Stock.  After I finished the sponging I embossed it with the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder.  Look at the gorgeous crinkle it gives the paper.

I stamped the globe in Old Olive Ink and the globe base in Pretty Peacock Ink.  I wanted to change up the sentiment from Thank You to "Adventure AWAITS" since it is for a graduation.

I love the combination of colors: Pretty Peacock, Old Olive, and Crushed Curry.  They just look marvelous together.  I know I will be using it more often!

Have fun and make a card today!!!

I appreciate you being a part of my Stampin' Journey!

I live & love to inspire you!

One Card Wonder Wednesday, May 13, 2020 - Tropical Oasis Shaker Card

Hello!

Welcome to One Card Wonder Wednesday for this week!  I am so excited about today's card!  It is a new take on a fun technique - shaker cards!

Now, maybe I have been living under a rock but I had never seen this version of a shaker card before.    I was part of a Stampin' UP!® ZOOM training meeting today for demonstrators and one of the other demonstrators in my group shoed a card she had made with her classes.  It was a shaker card that utilizes a medium clear envelope to hold the shaker material!  My Mind was  BLOWN!🤯

I don't even remember the Designer Series Paper she used for her card or what the theme was.  I just know I wanted to try it.

So here is my shaker card!

Is this not fantastic!  The "shakers" in the card basically can go from one end of the card to the other! I love it!  Now I will give you some advice.  I included four of the Tropical Oasis Trinkets in mine...make sure they are all facing front if you use them.  My pineapple is backwards and will stay that way.  LOL.

If you like, you can also choose to adhere your larger trinkets down first to the Designer Series Paper before you put it in the clear envelope...just a helpful hint!

Never underestimate the value of stamping the inside of your card!  It adds just a little something extra for the recipient!

I appreciate you being a part of my Stampin' Journey!

I live & love to inspire you!

Update Tuesday May 12, 2020 - Simple Stamping Cards

Hello!

Today Stampin' UP!® shared three simple stamping cards in their weekly email.  Update Tuesday just became a little simpler.  LOL

These cards are so easy to make I decided to make all three of them and share with you.
It wasn't a difficult decision at all.  I looked at Stampin' UP!®'s photo and then stared cutting card stock.  It only took me 20 minutes from start to finish to get everything ready to make these cards.  I that includes the time it took to figure out the measurements.

I love how the five colors, Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green. and So Saffron look together.  They coordinate so well to make bright cheery cards.
I am so happy with them.

You could make this same layout with many different colors and different card stock or Designer Series Paper Choices!

I appreciate you being a part of my Stampin' Journey!

I live & love to inspire you!

One Card Wonder Wednesday May 6, 2020 -

Hello!

It's Wednesday!  You know what that means?  It's time for One Card Wonder Wednesday!
Are you excited?  Me too!

I am having a great day.  I just made  an amazing, healthy lunch that will also be my dinner.  So that alone is a a WIN for the day!  I'm currently drinking a Diet Coke and pondering what to make.  I figured I would get my creative juices flowing by just relaxing in my chair and letting the universe speak to me, LOL.

And it has!  I now know what I want to do.  I want to make a card using a masking technique.  I haven't used a masking technique recently so it is a perfect technique to use today.

And I am so happy with how gorgeous this card is!

I used four different greens to create this nature wreath...Soft Sea Foam, Pear Pizzazz,
Old Olive and Garden Green.  Combined with the Rooted In Nature Stamp Set and the Healing Hugs Stamp Set, these colors worked perfectly.

Then  I took some Linen Thread and Old Olive Baker's Twine to create a mess bow look.  Technically it is not a bow but it has the illusion of a bow.  Make sure you watch the video to see how I made this card and especially the faux bow.

I appreciate you being a part of my Stampin' Journey!

I live & love to inspire you!
