Coming Home Bundle - One Card Wonder Wednesday August 12, 2020

 Hello!

Welcome to another One Card Wonder Wednesday!  I hope you are having a great day.  My day has been pretty good.  I am trying to play catch-up on several projects.  I have actually accomplished a lot today.     I hope you have too!

I wanted to play with a stamp set from the Aug-Dec 2020 Mini Catalog...AKA Holiday Catalog today.  I just didn't want to create a fall or holiday card.  So I chose the Coming Home Bundle to make a birthday card!  And it turned out great!

Look at how cute it is!  I used the dies from the bundle to die cut the landscape in Garden Green.  Then I used the Soft Suede Dark Blend to color the trunks of the trees.  I die cut a piece of Smoky Slate to create the road.  I explain this step in the video.  I stamped three cars and colored each of them with Stampin' Blends.

There aren't any sentiments in the Coming Home Bundle so I used the Just For You sentiment from the Celebration Tidings Stamp Set.  I then cut the sentiment apart so I could adhere it to the card as shown.

And since this is a birthday card, I stamped "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" on the inside.  I used the Well Said Stamp Set for this.  I can't wait to mail this card to someone!

I appreciate you being a part of my Stampin' Journey!

I live & love to inspire you!

Blogging Friends Blog Hop - August 2020 - Back to School

Hello!

Welcome to this Month's Blogging Friends Blog Hop!  Our theme for this month is Back to School.  In our new normal, it is so important to recognize those around us that make a difference.  And today I want to recognize all teachers, those in the classroom and those who are virtually teaching.  KUDOS to you.  We appreciate everything you do!

I have designed a pocket card and an adorable treat holder for today's post.  I used the Harvest Hellos Stamp Set, the Apple Builder Punch and the brand new Little Treat Box Dies.  I am so thrilled at how cute these projects turned out.

What do you think? Adorable?!  I think so.

Let's start with the pocket card, it is so simple to make and will fit in one of Stampin' UP!®'s medium sized envelopes.  Cut a piece of So Saffron Card Stock 4 1/4in x 9in, score at 4 3/4in.

Then use your paper trimmer and cut off half of the 4 1/4" piece of the card from the outer corner to the score line.

Cut a piece of Whisper White Card Stock 4in x 4 1/2in and adhere to the card.  Then fold the triangle portion up and glue on the right hand side to create a pocket.

Cut a piece of So Saffron Designer Series Paper 4in x 4in and then cut it in half diagonally.

Then adhere one piece of the DSP to the front of the card as shown.

Using the apple images from the Harvest Hellos Stamp Set, stamp two whole apples on Real Red Designer Series Paper and punch them out with the Apple Builder Punch.

Stamp two apple slices on Whisper White Card Stock, and also on Real Red Designer Series Paper.  Fussy cut the Whisper White apples out, and cut out the Real Red DSP apple skin.  Then adhere the apple skin to the apple slices.  Color the apple slices with Petal Pink Light Stampin' Blend and Bronze Stampin' Blend.  Stamp at least two leaves in Garden Green Ink onto Garden Green Card Stock and fussy cut them out.

Adhere one of the apples to the front of the card.  Then tie two pieces of ribbon around the pocket card.  One piece of Bumblee Gingham Ribbon and one piece of the Real Red Playful Pets Trim.  Then attach an apple slice to the front of the card.  Then stamp the sentiment 'TO AN A+ TEACHER!" on the upper left hand corner of the card.

Die cut a piece of So Saffron Card Stock, and a piece of Whisper White Card Stock using the Little Treat Box Dies.  I also cut a Real Red piece, as shown in photo, but I didn't use it for the project.

Assemble your Treat box by folding on all the score lines and adhering together once you have it folded up.  Stamp the sentiment "TO AN A+ TEACHER!" on the Whisper White scalloped circle.  Attach one of the apples to the treat box and then attach the sentiment using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Add a small piece of folded Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon to the treat box, tucking it in behind the sentiment.  Add a treat and then tie the top shut with some Real Red Playful Pets Trim.

You can add the treats of your choice to the treat box and the pocket card.  I chose tea bags and lemonade but I think gift cards and chocolates would be a great idea too!

I appreciate you being a part of my Stampin' Journey!
