One Card Wonder Wednesday, January 28, 2020 - Painted Poppy Birthday Card

Hello!

Welcome to One Card Wonder Wednesday January 28, 2020!

I have fallen in love with these Poppies.  I have always loved Poppies and I am thrilled that
Stampin' UP!® has created this suite of products.  It has made it easy for me to make beautiful cards...almost effortlessly.  The Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper is so gorgeous.  It reminds me of Poppy fields from when I lived in Germany.  Simply gorgeous.

Take a peek:
I enlarged the image so you could see the detail of the paper.

Which sheet is your favorite?  I love them all, LOL!  It makes it so hard to choose when you are creating a card.  I wanted to create a simple birthday day card that is centered around both the stamp set and the designer series paper.  Here is what I designed:

It's super simple, yet elegant. All of the layers are simple cutes so there isn't much guessing.  The real beauty of it, you can make many different cards with this layout using any Designer Series Paper you want!  So make sure you bookmark this post and come back to it when you are stumped for a card layout.

I appreciate you being a part of my Stampin' Journey!

I live & love to inspire you!

THANK YOU!

  11. On a 1in. x 3in. piece of Whisper White Card Stock stamp the sentiment “Friends like you mean more every year” from the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set.  I would adhere the sentiment to the page using two mini Stampin’ Dimensionals on the left back side of the sentiment where it will not be touching the front of the photo.  Once the page is in the Protective sleeve the sentiment will stay in place without any extra adhesive.  Voila!

One Card Wonder Wednesday - January 22, 2020 - Painted Poppies

Hello!

It is One Card Wonder Wednesday!  Hope you are having a fabulous week!  Mine is getting better each day as I am feeling a little better each day!  YAY!

Today I chose to make a card using the Painted Poppies Bundle which included the Painted Poppies Stamp Set and the Painted Labels Dies.  I also used some of the vellum Poppies from the Peaceful Poppies Elements pack.

I have used this stamp set a lot this past month and just had to make one more card with it.  Just this time I changed it up a bit and went with a soft, subtle card.  Tell me what you think?

Didn't it turn out so soft and subtle?  I used Petal Pink Card Stock for the base and because I was wanting it to feel light and airy I added the vellum poppies from the Peaceful Poppies Elements.

Even in this close up photo it is hard to tell that I used Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the flowers to the card.  I just strategically placed the dimensionals beneath the White embossed floral centers.

I appreciate you being a part of my Stampin' Journey!

I live & love to inspire you!

THANK YOU!

Update Tuesday January21, 2020 - Power Of Hope

Hello!

How are ya?!  Welcome to today's Update Tuesday blog post!  It has been a crazy week for me.  A crazy two weeks actually but the last week has been a little bit "more". LOL  Long story short, I have a weak immune system and have been on IV antibiotics for 5 days...I was able to come off from them today, hallelujah!  I absolutely hate the whole process, ICK!  And believe me, I have had my fair share, and probably your fair share too, hahaha!  Today was the last day, but the meds just wear me out and make me nauseated.  Then I take the anti-nausea med and then I'm tired.  It really is a vicious cycle.  Here's to good health and to me being able to type up instructions for today's card.  😂

Stampin' UP!® shared these beauties made with the Power of Hope Bundle.  If you haven't seen this bundle, it is in the current Sale-a-Bration catalog which means you can earn it with a qualifying order.  You would need to spend $100 to earn this bundle.

Isn't it pretty?!  I think it pairs well with the My Meadow Stamp set but also creates gorgeous cards all on it's own.

Here is the Photo that Stampin' UP!® shared with us this morning.

On the left they even used the Stone 3D Embossing Folder with the Wildly Happy Stamp Set to make the adorable Elephant card.

For the cards above I have chosen to focus on the top card with the lady in the Kimono.  I am not positive that the lady in the Kimono is a Geisha, but that is what she reminds me of.  So I am going to call this card the Geisha Card.

I appreciate you being a part of my Stampin' Journey!

I live & love to inspire you!

One Card Wonder Wednesday January 15, 2020 - Lovely Lily Pad Card

Hello!

Its that time again, time for a One Card Wonder Wednesday post!  One of favorite days of the week.  I love being able to share my ideas and creative projects with you.  I am hoping you are enjoying it too.  This week I have chosen to use the Lovely Lily Pad stamp set, Lily Pad Dies, and the Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper.  Did you know that all three of these items are items you can earn for FREE with qualifying purchases through Stampin' UP!® during Sale-A-Bration.  Make sure you head over to my store if you want to earn these items and make this card!

I decided to try something a little different with this card.  I have used the Lily Pad Dies before but when I added the die cuts to my other projects I glued them down flat.  As you can see I changed it up  a bit and just glued the bottom of them down.  Then I lightly curled the tops of the Lily die cuts away from the stamped Lily.

I love trying new things and having them work the way I envisioned them.  The piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock is folded in a semi-accordian style and all I did was glue it together at the folds.  Then it is glued down to the card.  I love the extra texture it adds to the card.  I have a feeling I will be adding this type of element to other cards.

I appreciate you being a part of my Stampin' Journey!

I live & love to inspire you!

THANK YOU!
