Kylies' Demonstrator Blog Hop - April 2020 - Bird Ballad Gift Pocket

Hello!

Welcome to Kylie's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop for April 2020!  I am so glad you are here.  There are a lot of wonderful projects and demonstrator participating in this blog hop so make sure to click the links at the bottom of blog to see them all.

In the spirit of a new challenge that Stampin' UP! has issued to it's demonstrators, #trysomethingnewchallenge I wanted to try something a little bit different today.   So instead of a card I made a gift pocket from a 12 x 12 sheet of designer series paper.  This is my first time making one of these.  I will definitely be doing this more often.

Here is what I came up with:

Had so much fun working on this project today.  I have been thinking about it for a couple of days.  I really wanted to just wing it, and that is what I did.  I did a lot of fussy cutting before I started assembling.  It makes assembly much easier...but I will say I do have a few extra pieces left over.

There are no official instructions...just view the video.  You can use any Designer Series Paper that you choose to make a gift pocket...and any size, as long as it is a square sheet of paper.  How amazing is that?!

Look at how pretty the sparkle is from the Dazzling Diamonds glitter I added to the feathers.

I chose to add the Pressed Petals Journal as the gift I want to add to this pocket.  I will be posting blog later in the week decorating the journal as well.  I think it is only fitting, don't you?

But how sweet would it be to fill one of these gift pockets with candy, small toys, or other little trinkets?  I love these ideas.  What other items would you put in there?
I appreciate you being a part of my Stampin' Journey!

I live & love to inspire you!

THANK YOU!
