Welcome to December’s Blog Hop with Kylie Bertucci’s Demonstrator Training Program. I have participated for the past two months, this is my third. I am really liking this blog hopping. Needless to say, I’m excited to be joining the blog hop again.
Now, before I get started talking about my project I just want you to know I am soooo over Christmas cards right now. Normally I would already have my cards mailed. But this year I am not even close. I have my envelopes and handmade cards in the same general area…but no addresses on the envelopes or personal notes in the cards yet.
I have held several Christmas card classes and I right now I feel I will be lucky to complete my cards. This is the curse of being a relatively new Stampin’ UP! demonstrator. I am trying to conquer the world one card at a time, LOL. So if you are reading this and are a usual recipient of one of my handmade cards…please be patient. Your card will get to you, I promise.
Enough about my Christmas card dilemma, let’s get to my project today. I have had my eye on this project kit and stamp set since the annual catalog came out in June.
I finally ordered them and they arrived today! EEK! For The Love of Felt Kit !
Isn’t it pretty?!

There are so many gorgeous felt flowers in this kit. And it is hard to see, but in the center of the photo, the lined paper is actually vellum with words printed on it…..”the hum of a honey bee…softer than the summer skies….the sun is like gold…” It is gorgeous. Even after seeing this photo so many times in the catalog I did not realize it was printed vellum! Happy Surprise for me!
Don’t forget, this is a project kit, which means the stamp set is not included. To complete this kit you can buy the For the Love of Felt Stamp Set.
How beautiful is that vellum? I find it simply stunning. When these felt flowers are used with the stamped images it is the perfect combination.
When I made my cards I did not include any of the linen thread…I simply forgot! OOPS! And I replaced the Calypso Coral Ink for the flowers with Terracotta Tile Ink.
I want to make all things with this kit. I have loved making these cards! I will show you each one of them individually so you can see them in all of their splendor.
Card 1, You make and ordinary day special. This is the first one I put together. What is your favorite part of this card? Honestly, I have a hard time choosing, but I love the stitched flourish. I stamped it first onto the card in Sahara Sand Ink.
Card 2, So very thankful. This one has the gorgeous vellum. Can I let you in on a secret? I cut two strips from the vellum instead of using the entire sheet. I want to use it for other projects so I’m saving as much of it as I can.
Card 3, Let’s Celebrate. I think this card is perfect for a birthday, don’t you?
Please, please, please, have lots of fun making these cards!
Make sure you buy the supplies below to get started!
